Wireless Networks
- devices are connected to each other using wireless adapters that are built in or externally attached in a form of a USB
- two wireless devices in range of each other share a common set of parameters (frequency or protocol) in order to be able to communicate with each other and establish a WLAN (wireless local area network)
- the wireless router set up defines the radio parameters and a connection name and the other devices will need to detect the connection and adjust their own parameters to connect to the wireless router
- a wireless topology doesn't require any cabling when connecting devices
- it provides a wireless coverage to clients
- it can also have wired connection whilst still having a wireless connection
