Accessing the network
- The aims of a network are to allow users to:
-Share documents and data
-Share expensive resources such as a printer
-Access the internet
- Networks that achieve these aims carry a lot of data traffic between nodes, where a many users will be attempting to access the network at the same time.
- The network must be able to control how many users access the network at a time and the flow of data between the nodes to avoid the network from data traffic jams (collisions)
